Harrison celebrated his bar mitzvah in style at the landmark Harmonie Club (designed by architect Stanford White) in midtown Manhattan. His ceremony was held at Temple Israel on east 75th street. As usual, we met at the synagogue to take pictures a few days before the bar mitzvah since photographs aren't allowed during the actual service. We captured Harrison practicing his reading and then posing with the torah and his family.
For the party after the ceremony, the ballroom suite at the Harmonie Club was decked out with tons of fun games for the kids, including a green screen for photos, virtual reality viewing stations, and basketball hoops! Harrison, who is an incredibly gifted singer, delivered a surprise performance of Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud, with his music camp friends that just about knocked everyone's socks off!
There's truly nothing more fun than photographing kids this age! They're just about to blossom into teenagers, love to have their pictures taken, are bouncing off the walls with energy and excitement, the girls are already trying out 5-inch heels, and the boys are glued to the basketball hoops!
Mazel tov to Harrison and his family on a wonderful celebration!
